Here are four reasons why now is the perfect time to sell your home.
We’ve been in a hot market lately, so a lot of homeowners have been asking me whether now is a good time to sell. To help answer that question, today I’d like to talk about the four big incentives you have for selling this summer:
1. Your house will sell quickly: On average, homes are spending around 17 days on the market before they sell. However, the homes I help list are selling even faster, with many being purchased within three to four days of listing.
2. Buyers will compete for your home: On average, sellers receive five offers before they select one. Honestly, I think that number’s a little low based on what I’ve seen. Regardless, buyers in today’s market are prepared for competition and are willing to pay top dollar to win your home.
3. Your home will be in the spotlight: Home inventory is incredibly low, which means your home will face less competition from other listings. We only have a three-week supply of homes right now, but inventory will likely begin to rise in the coming months. So, now’s the time to act.
4. Now may be the right time to move up: Homeowner equity has increased dramatically due to rapid home appreciation, but many people are finding their homes no longer fit their new post-pandemic lifestyles. Fortunately, your equity combined with record-low interest rates means it’s the perfect time to upsize.
