Here are three good reasons to get off the fence and sell your home now.

Many homeowners are wondering, “Should I sell this winter or wait until spring?” If you’re asking the same question, you’re in luck because I have the answer.

“More buyers can afford more expensive houses.”

Prior to COVID-19, I would have said that you should sit back and hold tight until spring or summer because that’s typically when the greatest number of transactions occur in the DFW area. With all that has happened in 2020, things have changed. This year, the winter is absolutely the best time for you to sell for three different reasons:

1. Mortgage interest rates are at historically low levels. More buyers can afford more houses.

2. There is more buyer demand than ever before. Most of this is due to the aforementioned low interest rates.

3. This is the lowest level of home inventory we’ve seen in many years. We have less than one month of inventory available in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

If you do decide to sell, though, where are you going to move with such few options? I’ve been able to guide my clients through situations like this for the last seven or eight years, and I’ve partnered with lenders and investors in the community to help my clients position themselves in a way to take advantage of the market by selling and securing their new home.

If you have any questions about buying a home, selling a home, or real estate in general, don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
