The Snow Queen by Ruth Cantrell is based on the fairy tale by Hans Christian Anderson. The play follows young Gerda as she searches to bring back her brother Kai from the cold-hearted Snow Queen. Along the way she meets a vast array of colorful characters including a prince, a gypsy, a crow, a reindeer, talking flowers and a snow monster. As Gerda reaches the Snow Queen’s palace and finds Kai cold-hearted, the audience will find out if her love and devotion can warm his heart and if together they can find a way to transform the cold Snow Queen into the loving mother she once was. The Snow Queen is a story for all ages and we encourage you to bring the whole family to experience this exciting adventure!

This November, the Moviehouse is celebrating the 75th Anniversary of It’s Wonderful Life with screenings and a special guest! Karolyn Grimes will be at the Moviehouse in Flower Mound on November 19th & 20th to meet and greet fans! Ms. Grimes played Zuzu Bailey in the film, youngest daughter of James Stewart’s George Bailey. Zuzu delivered one of the most memorable lines in film history: “Every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings.” Reserve recliners for the whole family to enjoy the beloved holiday classic It’s a Wonderful Life and have the opportunity to meet one of the stars, Karolyn Grimes!
