It’s that time of the year, and if you love a good scare be sure to stop by the Flower Mound Public Library, 3030 Broadmoor Lane, for October’s “After School Special” event, Slightly Spooky Stories! Storytellers will spin spine-tingling tales on Monday, October 23 from 3:34 to 4:30 p.m. for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. No registration is required for this free event.

Saturday, October 28 – National Pharmaceutical Take Back Day
Not sure what to do with your expired or unused medication? The Flower Mound Police Department is encouraging residents to round it up and bring it to the National Pharmaceutical Take Back Day, on Saturday, October 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at both Marcus and Flower Mound High Schools. Officers will be standing by in the parking lot of each school accepting medication for disposal, in an effort to bring national attention to the issue of prescription drug abuse, while helping residents safely remove potentially dangerous controlled substances from their homes.
