Community Activity Center Pool Closure – The CAC’s indoor pool is closed starting Monday, January 30, in order to be re-plastered.  Town staff expects the work to take approximately two weeks, with the pool reopening to patrons by Monday, February 13. The CAC has plenty of other activities for residents of all ages; learn more about the various programs, classes, and camps by visiting www.flower-mound.com/CAC.

FMPD Offers Joint Child ID Kit, Car Seat Safety Inspection Event – The Flower Mound Police Department will host a joint Digital Child ID Kit and Car Seat Safety Inspection event on Saturday, February 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Community Activity Center. This free event is open to all, and no RSVP is required for either; however attendees will be helped on a first-come, first-served basis. Digital Child ID kits include pertinent information such as your child’s name, address, birth date, and any medical conditions, in addition a current photo and fingerprints that are taken on site. If ever needed, this important tool will give authorities vital information to assist their efforts to locate a missing child. Flower Mound Police Officers,who are also Certified Car Seat Safety Technicians, will be at the event checking to ensure seats are installed properly, restraints and belts are in good working order, and that the seat itself is appropriate for your child’s size, weight, and height.

 2017 Spring Gardening Series

Join Lynda Harvey, Denton County Master Gardener, on February 13, 2017, 7:00 PM @ Flower Mound Public Library and discover that answers for your garden are at your fingertips, literally. Your phone has Apps for what to plant and when, but some may be better than others. Find out how to identify good and bad plants and veggies. Get utility Apps that save you time and money every day in the garden.  This program is part of the Denton County Master Gardener Association’s Spring Series. Details

Planning Ahead:

Membership Monday – March 6, 5:30 to 7 p.m. – Flower Mound Community Activity Center

The first Monday of each month, residents are invited to come by the CAC from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for free snacks and to meet the CAC Manager, make facility suggestions, or to share any comments about classes, programs, special events or fitness equipment. At 6 p.m. the CAC Manager will lead a 2-mile group fitness run through Heritage/Gerault Park. The run is free for all members and will consist of 5 different exercises along the way. The run will be appropriate for the entire family and all skill levels are welcome!
