Things to Do in Flower Mound
Fantastic Shopping, Dining & Outdoor Activites
There’s so much to do in Flower Mound!!
Shopping! There are many places to shop in Flower Mound, with all of the regular stores and unique boutiques within just a few miles. Some of my favorites include: The Highlands (gotta love Super Target), all of the shopping at The Shops at Highland Village, and shopping and entertainment just a few miles south at Grapevine Mills Mall.
Dining! There are so many restaurants to choose from, from the chains that everyone loves to the unique one-of-a-kind, special occasion places. You really can’t go wrong! Some of my favorites include: Black Walnut Cafe , The Table , Prime , my absolute favorite Tex-Mex Anamia’s, and one of the newest places in town, Paradise Bistro.
Parks & Trails: With extensive trails connecting the whole city, residents are encouraged to live an active lifestyle. Flower Mound’s trail system has grown from the first 3 miles constructed in 1989 as part of a grant from Texas Parks and Wildlife to more than 59 miles of 8′ paved hike / bike trails currently located throughout Flower Mound. Some trails are located within the boundaries of individual parks and other trail systems connect a series of parks along natural greenway corridors or through existing subdivisions providing links to schools, businesses, and other neighborhoods. Check out the downloadable Flower Mound’s Parks & Trails Map.

Recognized by many as "THE" place to live in DFW
Best Places to Live
For the third consecutive time, “D Magazine” selected Flower Mound for the No. 8 position in its bi-annual “Best Suburbs” list that was published in its July issue. When choosing the best suburbs “D Magazine” staff looked at several criteria, including safety, education, housing values, and ambiance. The first three measures involve data and the objective analysis thereof; the fourth is entirely subjective, reflecting the taste and knowledge of the publication’s staff.
Nationally, CNN Money Magazine has recognized Flower Mound as a Top Place to Live repeatedly.
Excellent Public Education! Limitless opportunities for children educated within Lewisville ISD. The two award-winning high schools Flower Mound residents attend are Flower Mound High School and Marcus High School.
